Duplex ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our AI voice agent platform.

Information We Collect

Account Information

• Discord user ID and username (via OAuth)
• Email address (if provided)
• Discord server IDs where you deploy agents

Usage Data

• Voice session metadata (duration, timestamps, participant count)
• Agent configurations and settings
• API usage and billing information

Voice Data

• Voice audio is streamed to AI providers in real-time for processing
• Session transcripts may be stored based on your plan's retention settings
• Raw audio is not stored after processing unless explicitly enabled

How We Use Your Information

• Provide and maintain the voice agent service
• Process voice conversations through AI providers
• Send service notifications and updates
• Monitor usage for billing and abuse prevention
• Improve our service and develop new features

Data Sharing

We share data with the following categories of third parties:

AI Providers

Voice data is processed by your selected AI provider (OpenAI, Google Gemini, or self-hosted infrastructure). Each provider has their own privacy practices. When using PersonaPlex on dedicated GPUs, voice data is processed on isolated infrastructure.

Infrastructure Providers

We use cloud services (Vercel, Supabase, RunPod, fal.ai) to host and operate the Service. These providers process data on our behalf under data processing agreements.

Payment Processors

Payment information is processed by Stripe. We do not store complete payment card details.

Data Retention

Session transcripts are retained according to your subscription plan (7 days to 1 year). Account data is retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward. You may request deletion of your data at any time.

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), secure authentication, and access controls. Voice streams are encrypted end-to-end between Discord and AI providers. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Export your data in a portable format
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Withdraw consent where applicable

Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.

International Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international data transfers.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
